NSV- Non-scale victory. I ordered that bird dress as a "reward" for taking off 150 lbs. When it came, it didn't fit AT ALL. I couldn't even get it on, much less zip it. Well now I have taken off 200 lbs, I tried it on again, and ta-dah!!! WFPBNO works my friends. Never give up, never give in!
I wasn't sure I was going to do it because I fell off the wagon BIG TIME in the late summer and never quite recovered. I was shocked by how much money and time it saved (I also went back to work so I needed some extra time). The plan is definitely worth a try. It's been such a blessing to my family. Although I love to cook and our family has eaten vegetarian/vegan meals for years, making the commitment to do this for every meal, all the time, was a bit daunting. I finally broke through a threshold - 90 days of being plant-based!!! I've lost 31 lbs since Feb 7, officially (probably more like 40 pounds since January). I'm so thankful for the meal plans!! They keep me satisfied, interested and organized. Lindsay, you help me to keep it real - you are an inspiration to this 54-yo stubborn mule!
I have been a fan of yours for some time now, but I must admit I just (finally) purchased the meal plans today. What was I waiting for?!? This is going to help me SO much! I used the grocery list from the plan and I spent WAY less at the grocery store than usual! Also, I have been wanting to go oil and soy free. I know I have whawt I need now. Thank you!
You should do the happy herbivore meal plans! We bought the yearly membership and my life is changed forever! Grocery lists, recipes,make ahead meal prep. Awesome, heatlhy, cheaper, easier. And much more variety then we ever had before!
I put on 70 (yes, 70!) pounds during my pregnancy last year. I easily lost 55 pounds on my plant-based diet, but got stuck with 15 pounds to go - the scale didn't budge for 4 months despite healthy eating and exercise. I just finished my first week on the HH meal plans and I've already lost 5 pounds! Not to mention my husband (who has recently gone vegan!) is loving all the new recipes I'm making. I love having my week all planned out for me and I get so excited for my next meal. Thank you Lindsay! Since starting the meal plans 5 weeks ago, I'm down 3 lbs! When I first went plant-based, I limited fats and oil and easily maintained a loss I was happy with. Then I started to follow another plant-based athlete and was convinced that I should be adding in fat along with a few other things that didn't work. I have had a hard time dropping the 5-7 lbs I gained until I started using the meal plans! I'm convinced this way of eating is the way for me.

I was limiting fats, trying to do no oil etc. and eating white potatoes without much thought and in general trying to follow the HH guidelines. Then I started to follow another plant-based athlete and was convinced that I should be adding fat in along with a few other things that didn't work. I was up 5-7 lbs and have had a hard time dropping it until now.
So, I'm convinced that HH way of eating is the way for me. Low fat, simple, and whole foods. I had blood work a few weeks ago and my numbers are GREAT!! I <3 the meal plans!!
I have been doing your meal plans for 4 days and have lost 3.6 pounds... which isn't a lot, but from my weight not budging to this.. I am feeling very encouraged. So I got all four books that are on sale on amazon and the Happy Herbivore guide to plant based living. Thank you for all the good inf ormation you provide. I wish I had started sooner! :-)
So many successes from my first week using the meal plan! Stepped on the scale this morning and was shocked to see I lost 5 lbs! Realized preparing meals in advance not only makes it super quick to get dinner ready, but clean up is a breeze as well, since I don't have all the prep dishes to wash. Also, I went shopping this evening for next week's meals and only spent $70! I usually spend a bare minimum of $150 (family of 6) so this is huge!!
I am a monthly member of the meal plans, and I have to say they changed my life. I've lost 30 lbs since June/July and I've kept it off! The meals are delicious, healthy, and varied each week. I do have my favorites that I revisit often, but I couldn't be happier. I have never felt this great in my life. They've motivated me tremendously.
I've been able to lose weight before but I've always gained it back....until now. Pants I've put in storage and written off as "someday" are now in my regular rotation!!

We made the 'Chickpea Pot Pie Pasta' for dinner last night off of the current meal plan. Everyone had seconds, including the 4 year old!

I have tried going fully plant-based several times in the past, although I have been vegetarian for 17 years. It was always too stressful for me to plan our menu and do all the shopping. This time around, I did the meal plans and they have been incredible. It keeps everything totally easy when it comes to planning out the week and doing the shopping. It also keeps things fresh because I know we are always trying new things. My husband is finding it a lot easier this time around as well, because he has so many more fun and exciting recipes he's looking forward to! He has been a carnivore through and through since I've met him, so that is huge for us. I have never seen him so motivated to get off of his blood blood pressure meds.

Last year I subscribed to Lindsey's meal plans for about 6 months. Today I discovered that somehow all but 6 weeks were missing from my computer, including the one with the recipe for her AWESOME pumpkin hummus that I was really craving and searching for. I emailed customer service for Get Meal Plans at 12:22 pm, and at 12:59 pm a very nice customer service rep (Jamee Dyches) emailed me 4 1/2 months worth of meal plans, including the one with the pumpkin hummus recipe I was looking for. I am so thankful!!! If you thought customer service was a lost art, you haven't had dealings with Lindsey's team yet. And if you're thinking about subscribing to her meal plans, I HIGHLY recommend it. It was worth every penny before for the great recipes and planning already done. The awesome customer service I received today was the icing on the cake! Thank you!!!
Lindsay, we just started on a week long vacation and I am already missing your great meal plans. Travel is one of my favorite things in life but it's tough when you've been living the culinary good life thanks to the happy herbivore! I started eating plant based with your meal plans the very end of Feb 2014 and so far I've lost 23lbs, 16.13 inches overall and lowered my cholesterol 40 points!!!! No more cholesterol meds for this chick!! My husband has lost 22 lbs. as well. I love eating this way and have tons of energy.

I'm loving the meal plans. They save me so much money, mainly in wasted food, but also in calories, because I don't feel I need to "eat up" something so it doesn't go bad. I actually save so much money this way I'm able to buy more at Whole Foods' organic prices!
Your meal plans have changed my life the past two weeks. I am running a business on my own, while attempting to be a super mom and super wife, and contributing to my community. Lack of time is the number one source of stress in my life, followed by lack of money. So, although it may seem like such a simple, small thing, these meal plans have saved me both. I need to be with my girls on the weekends and evenings, not distracted. I have always been very careful about what goes into my daughters mouths, which creates an incredible amount of work for me. I am using the meal plans! Love them! Not only do I not have to think about counting calories and fat (it is already done for you) I have tried so many different foods and combinations of foods that I never would have thought of on my own. So far I have lost abut 12 pounds in 3 weeks:)
I can not thank you enough for doing what you do and doing it so well. I am so thankful I came across your site and family meal plan. After becoming Vegan and having special family dietary needs with soy and dairy allergies I had lack of knowledge and I began to gain weight and the kids thought it was the end of the world with eating boring food. BUT, after just one week so far of your meal plan the kids have loved every meal and I have already lost 7 pounds!! The meals are amazing and easy to prepare. I am looking forward to seeing the new plan each week and making the meals.
