Crystal Heft and family

Hi I'm Crystal! (Family of 6 plus I cook for my mom so I guess that makes us 7) We double all of the meals in the family plan and use the add-ons. This takes care of all of our dinners and lunch for the adults for at least the work week. We batch cook most weeks.

Hi, I am Anne. Family of 4- with 2 teens. I cook the individual plans, it seems plenty of food to me, and "share" with my omni family. I will add some type of meat for them. My meals are their sides. They do not usually eat breakfast but I like ONO's and ds has recently asked me to make Brownie Batter ONO's for him, also. I usually cook 4-5 of the recipes on the meal plans and it usually gets me through the week. I have leftovers for lunches. Something I just realized is that my family really enjoys the pasta dishes and those with a peanut butter type sauce(well, except DD who is allergic). So if you are trying to win people over, try starting there :)

Hi, I'm Abbie. Family of two: my omni husband and me. I usually cook 2-3 Family Meals to start my week. I try to choose 'safe' picks like pasta that I know will appeal to my husband as well. With those prepped to fall back on, I can then prepare a combination of Family and Individual Plan meals as I find time throughout the week for myself, and either adjust his portions by adding or subtracting ingredients, or making a couple of separate dishes just for him. Once every 3-4 weeks I will try to batch cook staples like rice, marinara and veggie broth. I try to batch cook muffins as well, but they never seem to make it to the freezer!

Hi, I'm Laura. I cook only for myself, but hate making a ton of meals each week. Luckily, I enjoy leftovers. I usually follow one of two methods: A) I choose 3 family plan meals and then have two "flex" meals or B) I choose 3 family plan meals and 1 individual meal that serves 2. This gives me a total of 14 combinations for lunch/dinner.

On Thursday evenings, I sit down and figure out what meals I'm making for the upcoming week and make my grocery list. I shop on my way home from work on Friday evening. Then, I prep and cook all my meals either Saturday or Sunday morning depending on what my weekend is like. Once the meals cool down, I place one serving of each meal into its own container. That way when I pack my lunch during the week, all I have to do is grab a container and stick it in my lunch box. When I get home from work, I just grab a container and heat it up. Spending a few hours on the weekend saves me so much time during the week that I feel the benefits far outweigh any of the negatives of cooking all in one day. On Sunday evenings, I also make 3 batches of overnight oats, then on Wednesday night as I clean up the kitchen, I make the remaining two batches for the rest of the work week.

Gabriela and Family

My name is Gabriela. We are a family of three. We use the family meal plans about 6 days a week. My husband is able to take leftovers for work almost every day of the week. I really want to get myself together to batch cook more often. I have done it a few times and LOVED IT. But it takes me so long for some reason. Meal plans really take the stress out of cooking and it's nice to know what's for dinner every night. I have been a member for a little over a year and can't imagine going back. I also like that I have become more savvy with ways to use up all our food. I know if I have beans or garbanzos on hand and some veggies I can find an old recipe with those ingredients. We are not 100% plant based but because of the meal plans we eat plant based most of the time.

Hi, I am Carolyn. My husband and I use the individual plan with an addition of a "simple meal" and a favorite repeat. I quadruple one recipe to bring to our church potluck along with some muffins and a salad. The weekly plan plus these extra bits make all of our lunches, dinners with adding on some veggies or salad. I have several chronic illnesses and am learning to step through the prep and batch cooking aspects. One thing I do for simplicity is to cook all the meals in a meal plan. This helps with preserving mental energy and sanity.

Hello...I'm rachel...I follow the single plan and my omvi boyfriend will follow along mostly and add what ever he wants...I try all recipes at least once. I have an issue with leftover so I am not a great batch cooker....but I find the meals are esy to follow and give me stress relief from my day...but that's just me :) let me know how I can help you succeed.

Tonya Kubo and family

I'm Tonya (family of 4). I'm the only Herbie in the family. We do 2 family plan meals and 1-2 individual meals each week, which handles all of my lunches for the week and the family's dinners. They'll eat the MM meals as sides or mains, depending on the recipe.

Kim, family of 4. I have a 5 yo boy and 9 yo girl. I make about 2-3 family plan per week. I only grocery shop once a month so I generally choose about 8 family meals for us (from multiple meal plans). My lunches are usually a simple baked sweet or regular potato or left overs. The family plan meals usually last us at least 2 meals maybe 3. I IF most days so I don't prepare breakfast, kids eat granola bars or oatmeal or I make a batch of muffins.

Alesha Burnside

Hi, my name is Alesha. I live with my boyfriend and he is a very picky junk food vegetarian. (He was omni, so I'm slowly making progress :)) I cook 3-4 meals a week. I work night shift so some days I only eat twice a day. If there are one or two meals I'm pretty sure he will like, I use the family version. If I know he won't eat something, I use the individual plan and he fends for himself. I enjoy cooking, so I cook everyday on my days off, which usually provides me enough leftovers for the nights I work. I've only cooked from an entire meal plan one time. I usually mix and match different weeks.

Jen Todd and Husband

Hi I'm Jen. There are two of us. I batch cook the individual meal plans for myself and cook vegetarian meals for my husband each night. He is such a picky eater, and has a lot of food sensitivities that this works best for us, although I do prepare HH meals for him when I find one I think he'd like.
